Ok, I know that all of us have those things that we do to protect our car from anything while we drive it or not. many people don't understand it and wonder why we do it, but I know people here understand. What are some of the things that you guys and gals do? I'm just curious. I'll start off...one thing I always do is that when I am coming to a railroad track I will make sure there are no cars behind me and I will come to almost a complete stop before the track, put it in first, then crawl over the tracks. If there is a car behind me, I will change lanes and if I can't do that, then I will turn on another street, do a U turn and pull back out onto the road I was on once there are no other cars on it. Silly I know, but I figure since I go over rairoad tracks atleast once or twice a day and some of them here are real bad it has to help out to do this overtime. A second thing I do is that I don't drive in the rain...EVER. One time it started raining at a gas station when I was there. I didn' t have anything really important to do, and I knew the guy at the register from my senior year, so I left my car under the covered area and just went inside the gas station and remaind there for a good 2 hours. I then got real bored, so I locked the car, asked the guy I knew there to keep an eye on it, and had a buddy pick me up. I came back to get my car later on that night when the rain had stopped and the roads were "dryish." The guy working the register thought it was funny, but he said he would do the same haha. It wasn't that bad though, cause during those first two hours I talked to him and ate a lot of fritos, dip, and Arizona Tea.. I'm sure there are more silly things I do, but I want to here what others do as well.
